SEPU

The Centre for Studies of Educational Practice is to initiate and carry out research and development work in connection with compulsory education. The research work of the Centre is directed towards the practical aspects of the teaching profession with a special focus upon teacher competence, learning cultures and learning outcomes.

The Centre will undertake development and evaluation consultancies in various educational contexts, and contribute to more evidence-based professional practice in kindergarten, primary school and secondary schools.

The research activity at the Centre seeks to promote more research-based teacher training. Researchers are to actively participate in student programmes at Hedmark University College, and cooperate with other teacher training institutions.

The Centre for Studies of Educational Practice is to be a national leader in its field, and cooperate with other research institutions nationally and internationally.
