What is plagiarism?

Plagiarism is presenting others’ work and ideas as your own. This is both illegal and unethical.

Consequences of plagiarism

Plagiarism is considered cheating. Hedmark University of Applied Sciences (HUAS) uses a program specifically designed to detect plagiarized text. If plagiarized text is detected the one(s) responsible for it may face serious consequences. You may risk that your examination is annulled and you may be expelled from HUAS, cf. universitets- og høyskoleloven § 4-7 and §4-8.
