In January 2000 the Scandinavian Wolf Project, or SKANDULV, was formally initiated. SKANDULV is a consortium of several subprojects with separate budgets. At the moment, researchers from 9 different research institutions are working under the umbrella of SKANDULV. In addition, over 50 persons are involved in various field activities.
The primary goal of SKANDULV is to provide a factual basis for the optimum management of wolves in Norway and Sweden, as well as disseminating information on wolf biology and management to a broad audience.
